As a coach, my goal is to provide my athletes with the guidance, tools, and advice they need to achieve their performance goals and ultimately enjoy the process. I use the knowledge gained from my certifications, career, and personal experiences to coach all of my athletes. I coach athletes targeting distances from 5K all the way up to the marathon distance.

I can’t run for more than 5 minutes at a time. Would you even consider training me?

Yes, I serve athletes of all levels! I meet you where you are. Let’s start with where you are, lay out some foundational work, and build from there. If you can walk, you can run! 

How do I get started with your coaching services?

Schedule an exploratory call, here! If it’s a good fit, I’ll gather more information after the call about your schedule (work/personal schedule), running history, and training day preferences. Within a few days, you’ll get your first two weeks of training via VDOT, along with a welcome onboarding guide with tips and an overview of what to expect.

Do you provide nutrition guidance?

Proper fueling is essential for peak performance! I offer advice on foundational nutrition aspects such as hydration, pre-run fueling, intra-run fueling, and post-run recovery. Although I’m not certified to give personalized nutrition plans, I can gladly refer you to a sports dietitian for more specialized guidance.

Is coaching only for US-based runners?

Absolutely not! Whether you're in Melbourne, Rio de Janeiro, or anywhere in between, location is never a barrier. My basic 1:1 run coaching plan is fully virtual, making it accessible no matter where you are.

Do I need a GPS watch to work with you?

You don't absolutely need one, however, many of my athletes find them helpful. Garmin and Coros are popular and offer tons of data features, but you can also use an Apple Watch. The more detailed data you have, the more I can help you out!

What’s the difference between your 1:1 coaching services and a personalized training plan?

1:1 coaching services mean personalized training plus ongoing feedback and communication. A personalized training plan is a personalized training plan and a one-time fee, without any communication.

Do you update and modify plans? Can you adjust my training plan if my schedule changes?

I get it, life gets busy! Every part of your training is personalized and made to work with your schedule. If at any point you have a schedule change or have an upcoming vacation, I’ll modify your training so it works with your schedule without compromising your workouts.

Are there any limits on coach-client communication?

Unlimited communication! You're welcome to message via VDOT with any questions and comments. Ultimately, I want to foster open and honest communication about your workouts and build a solid athlete-coach relationship.
