i'M COACH Jamilé Ramírez...

Now, as a Captain of Adidas Runners NYC, I create a nurturing environment where runners of all levels can thrive. My coaching philosophy emphasizes balance and a holistic approach, focusing on mindset, strength training, and recovery. What sets me apart is my dedication to crafting personalized training plans that fit seamlessly into my clients' lifestyles. I understand the importance of ongoing support and motivation, providing regular check-ins, tips, and strategy calls throughout the program.

A Career Pivot to Coaching

Growing up, I played tennis and swam, finding my love for running through my dad, who instilled in me the importance of living a healthy lifestyle and the value of perseverance. Since 2020, I have run eight marathons (and counting), continuously pushing myself and seeking new challenges. My professional career initially took me into the world of advertising and marketing, where I led high-profile campaigns for brands like Microsoft and CVS Health. Despite my success, I yearned for a return to my roots in athletics.

Every year, I make it my goal to train for a half marathon. However, for the past two years, though I felt like I trained consistently, I failed at completing the actual race at the end of my training. I didn’t have the right guidance, which caused me to train ineffectively, caused injuries, and made it difficult to reach the time goals I set for myself. When looking for a running coach, I wanted someone who did more than simply send me plans through an online coaching platform. 

I needed someone that provided the right balance or encouragement and push, someone that listened to my concerns and celebrated my victories (big or small). Coach Jamilé does all of that and more! 

Jamilé is now developing a plan for my first marathon in September. I'm enjoying the process, and I'm really excited to see what I will accomplish working with her!

I was looking for a running coach and a good friend of mine recommended that I talk to Jamilé. I immediately reached out and explained that I had been following a generic online plan but knew I needed an expert for a few upcoming races including a half-marathon and marathon. She prepared a personalized day-by-day plan based on my ability and current fitness level. The plan included a range of run workouts, and strength & mobility training.
